6. Double-click the file
Abaxis Driver Setup.exe.
7. Installation then begins. When the installer
finishes, click OK.
8. Use the USB cable to connect the VS2 to any available USB port on the computer.
9. Click Start > Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Device Manager.
10. Click the “+” before Ports (COM & LPT). Look for “Abaxis Blood Chemistry Ana-
lyzer.”
Note: If the analyzer does not appear in the device list, do not reinstall the
driver. Unplug the USB cable from the computer, then reinsert it. Check
the device manager again.
11. Note the port number to which the analyzer is
assigned, and record this number. You will use this
port number later in this procedure.
(In the example at right, the port is COM4.)
12. Close the Device Manager.
