grounding. Ground the pair cable
shields here.

Wrap copper tape around the
stripped part of the cable under the
clamp. Be careful not to cut the
grounding wire. Clamp as close to
the terminals as possible.

Note 1: If the encoder is of
unisolated type, ground the encoder
cable at the drive end only. If the
encoder is galvanically isolated
from the motor shaft and the stator
frame, ground the encoder cable
shield at the drive and the encoder
end.
Note 2: Twist the pair cable wires.
