Replacement, battery pack
The procedure below details how to replace the battery pack in the serial
measurement unit.

WARNING
The unit is sensitive to ESD. Before handling the unit
please read the safety information in the section The
unit is sensitive to ESD on page 32
Set the robot to the MOTORS OFF operating mode.2
This way the robot does not need to be calibrated
after the battery change.

Remove the rear cover plate from the base.
CAUTION
Clean cover from metal residues before opening.
Metal residues can cause shortage on the boards
which can result in hazardous failures.

Loosen the battery terminals from the serial measur-
ing board and cut the clasps that keep the battery
pack in place.

Remove the old battery pack.5
Fit a new battery pack with two clasps and connect
the terminals to the serial measuring board.
