Option module installation
To install an option module:
1. Install the applicable cables for the option
module. Refer to Control cable glands on page
65 and Control cable installation on page 65.
2. Install the option module in the correct slot:
• I/O extension modules in SLOT 1
• Fieldbus adapter modules in SLOT 2
3. Tighten the option module fixing screw.
4. If it is necessary, prepare the cable wires. Refer
to the instructions in the option module kit.
5. If it is necessary, ground the cable shields to the
grounding clamps.
6. Connect the applicable control cables to the
option module connectors.
7. Pull the excess cable through the gland.
8. Tighten the cable gland.
9. Make sure that the cable cannot be pulled
through the cable gland.
