12.3.4 Alarm delay
You can configure the alarm delay so that transient desaturations do not give an immediate
audible alarm or visual display. You can also select alarm delay settings of 0, 5, 10, and 15
seconds.

12.3.5 SpO
2
averaging time
Selectable averaging time enables clinicians to optimize SpO
2
monitoring for various patient
application areas such as the PACU, NICU, ICU, Telemetry, and Sleep. This reduces the number
of alarms due to real, yet non-clinically actionable rapid desaturations. There are different
averaging times that can be selected (2 to 4, 4 to 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16).
