Laser Head Rear Panel at a Glance
1 +15V POWER ON LED (green)
This LED lights when the +15 Vdc power is applied to the laser
head. It goes out if the +15V fuse opens or the external power
supply fails.
2 –15V POWER ON LED (gre e n)
This LED lights when the –15 Vdc power is applied to the laser
head. It goes out if the –15V fuse opens or the external power
supply fails.
3 READY LED (green)
When power is initially applied to the laser head, this LED is off.
About halfway through the warm- up period, it blinks on and off to
indicate that the laser is in the process of warming up. When the
head is ready for use, it remains on, indicating the laser has
achieved lock and is generating a reference signal.
4 LASER ON LED (am ber )
This LED lights to indicate the high voltage power supply is ON and
that laser light is being emitted.
5 18-Pin Connector (twist-lock)
This connector is used to connect the external power supply input.
It also allows the external power supply ±15V and reference signals
(REF and
~
REF), to be connected to other system components via
the laser head cables.
Table 6 on page 24 lists all the power and signal lines available
at the rear- panel connector.
