Troubleshooting Your Valve System
4 Slide a ferrule over the end of the tubing—the ferrules are beveled, make
sure the narrow end of the bevel points towards the o-ring, see Figure 37.
5 Pull the tubing through fitting, o-ring and ferrule so that it protrudes about
4mm (3/16inch) beyond the ferrule, see Figure 38.
6 Connect the tubing with the loose fitting, o-ring and ferrule to a tubing with
a fixed fitting and use the nut extender tool to tighten the fittings, see
Figure 39.

Always hold the nut extender tool at the end with the finger grip—optimum tightness is
reached when the nut extender tool begins to slip.
