Protocol A set of rules that govern how computers send and receive information.
RJ45 connector A telephone jack style connector used for a Universal Twisted Pair (UTP)
hardware connection for 10/100Base-T Ethernet connections. RJ45-style connectors are used by
the Micro GC.
TCP/IP An international standard protocol used by the Internet. We use this protocol for
communication to the Micro GC. You may find several network protocols, such as IPX/SPX and
NetBEUI, installed on your computer.
