Using the External Filter Unit
The male part of the filter must be hand-tightened into the female part, followed by a 1/8 turn with
a 7/16-inch wrench. See Figure 16. Orient the arrow on the female half of the filter toward the
fingertight fitting.
Replace the external filter unit at regular intervals. See Review the Packing List on page 35 for
part numbers.

Whenever possible, remove moisture from samples introduced to the Micro GC.
