Parameters
time-out — Multicast device timeout in seconds (Range: 1 - 2147483647)
Default Configuration
The default value is 300 seconds.

Example
The following example configures the Multicast device timeout to 200 seconds.
ip igmp snooping leave-time-out
The ip igmp snooping leave-time-out Interface Configuration (VLAN) mode command configures the leave-
time-out. If an IGMP report for a Multicast group was not received for a leave-time-out period after an IGMP Leave
was received from a specific port, this port is deleted from the member list of that Multicast group. Use the no form
of this command to return to the default configuration.
Syntax
ip igmp snooping leave-time-out {time-out | immediate-leave}
no ip igmp snooping leave-time-out
Parameters
time-out — Specifies the leave-time-out in seconds for IGMP queries. (Range: 0-2147483647)
immediate-leave — Indicates that the port should be immediately removed from the members list after
receiving IGMP Leave.
Default Configuration
The default leave-time-out configuration is 10 seconds.

User Guidelines
The leave timeout should be set greater than the maximum time that a host is allowed to respond to an IGMP
query.
