Perform maintenance work on the components such as the driving sections and
camera once a year.
This product is a precision machine which captures images while shifting among
multiple dishes in the unit of µm. Therefore, maintenance work is needed for the
stage sliding section, which shifts the camera. The maintenance work is inspection (or
replacement) of ball screws and cleaning (and grease supplement) of the linear
guides, which serve as rails for sliding. Moreover, after the mentioned
inspection/replacement, comprehensive inspection work is required.
Comprehensive inspection work includes checking the sensor units, camera, CO
2
sensor, O
2
sensor, and temperature control.
For iSNAPS (optional), data maintenance needs to be performed.
The hard disk of iSNAPS and the hard disk connected with iSNAPS have only specific
storage capacity. When accumulating data in the hard disk, marshal files on the hard
disk periodically, for example, every three months. If not followed, malfunction may
result.
For the network-connectable hard disk drive (NAS), data maintenance needs to be
performed.
The network-connectable hard disk drive (NAS) connected with this product has only
specific storage capacity. If the NAS has been set as the storage location at the time
of image capture, a bar which shows the amount of consumed NAS space is shown
at the bottom left of the screen of the product. Marshal files so as to secure as much
empty space as possible. If the total amount of accumulated data becomes large,
image storage failure or product malfunction can result.
Never directly put water on the exterior of this product to clean it. Malfunction (short
circuit) may result.
When using the product, set the temperature to an appropriate value. If an
inappropriate temperature is set or if the set temperature is unintentionally changed,
cultivation failure or death of fertilized eggs can result.
For the product, periodically perform temperature correction and check the gas
concentration indication. If the product is kept running without noticing changes of the
temperature and/or gas concentration indication, cultivation failure or death of
fertilized eggs can result.
On the PC used with this system, do not install applications other than ones installed
by ASTEC. Intended proper operations and performance may not be presented.
For this product, only µDrop GPS culture dishes are usable.
If culture dishes not specified are used, settings may fail or image capture at desired
positions may not be possible.
This product is laboratory equipment. It is not medical equipment and is to be used for
purposes such as research.
