Unlock scanner:
• Lift the lever to the right of the scanner.

Pull the scanner forward:
• Pull the scanner forward gently and stop
when it is about halfway out. As you
pull the scanner out, at some point you
will feel resistance and should pull no
farther.

Familiarize yourself with the sample area:
• While it may look solid, the scanner sample stage moves the sample in X, Y, and Z
imperceptibly up to 40μm.
