GPIB Configuration
Introduction
As an op tion, ATS-2 can be or dered in its GPIB con fig u ra tion, model
ATS2G. GPIB ca pa bil i ties can also be added to ATS-2 af ter pur chase with
the in stal la tion of a GPIB up grade at the Au dio Pre ci sion fac tory or at a
fac tory-au tho rized representative.
The GPIB con fig u ra tion brings the IEEE-488.2 in ter face stan dard, also
known as the Gen eral Pur pose In ter face Bus or GPIB, to ATS-2. Hard ware
for GPIB con sists of a cir cuit board mounted on a con nec tor panel as sem -
bly that is fit ted in the re served space on the ATS-2 rear panel, as shown
below.
APIB or GPIB?
ATS-2 is nor mally con trolled by Au dio Pre ci sion’s ATS mea sure ment
soft ware us ing the APIB in ter face bus. In the GPIB con fig u ra tion, ATS-2
