Avaya 1230 - Editing Information of a Friend

The IP Deskphone uses the SIP address or phone
number from
your personal Address Book to make the
call.
To send an IM to a friend on the Friends list:
Filter
Select
1. Choose one of the following:
• Press the
Directory fixed key.
• Press the Filter context-sensitive soft key, and
select Friends from the menu.
• Press the Select context-sensitive soft key while
viewing the Address Book.
Status
2. Press the Status context-sensitive soft
key to view
the information about the friend.
SendIM
3. Press the SendIM context-sensitive soft key to
send an IM to the friend.
The IP Deskphone uses the SIP address for the
contact from your personal Address Book.
abc 4. Press the abc/123 context-sensitive soft key to
toggle between numeric and alphabetic input.
5. Use the dialpad to enter the text of the message.
Send
Back
6. Choose one of the following:
• Press the
Send context-sensitive soft key to send
the IM.
• Press the Back context-sensitive soft key to return
to the previous menu.
Editing information of a friend
You can edit information of a friend on the Friends list.
