About software distribution packages
Software distribution packages contain the files that are required for 9600 Series IP Deskphones.
These files are packaged together in a Zip format. Download the appropriate package from the
Avaya support site.
Note:
The H.323 9600 Series IP Deskphones Sonic deskphones with hardware version 3 and above
use *.bin while the 9600 Series IP Deskphones with hardware version lesser than 3 use
*.tar.
The software distribution packages contain the following:
• Software files.
• One upgrade file such as 96x1Hupgrade.txt.
• All the display text language files. For example, mlf_SB189_v78_korean.txt
