Laser beam intensity
The intensity of the laser beam is no longer controlled by a neutral
density filter. The amplification of the RF-signal is controlled by
software (I2C-bus on Maccon). This allows for a feedback on the intensity.
Before the first exposure after startup, the intensity is set and then
measured by a tuning diode at one side of the drum. If the intensity is not
correct the machine will adapt the amplification of the RF-signal.
In the parameter list "option B" you can enable "tune each exposing".
Delay and separations
The beam pattern is a tilted "6 x 2(4)" raster. For exposure, the beams
have to be delayed independently of each other. The Ssipro-board gets
the correct delay parameters (depending on Ysize, position of the beams
and film thickness) and generates the delays.
The separation of the beams is controlled by the variable RF-frequency.
The DRV4X3 board gets the correct frequency parameters (depending on
the position of the beams) and generates the correct RF-frequency.
