Cooling Medium
Water should preferably be used as cooling medium, because air
does not ensure adequate cooling at high temperatures. The water
must be clean to avoid dirt deposits in the cooling jacket which
would have an adverse effect on the cooling efficiency.
The diagram below shows the quantity of cooling water required
for the detectors LB 44... The ambient temperature was taken into
consideration when calculating the required quantities, but not any
possible heat emission by surrounding components, e.g. contain-
ers, pipelines, etc. If this is the case, a higher rate of cooling water
may be required.
