3.2 Installation of the Measuring Device
The detector must be protected against temperatures
> 50°C by a water cooling jacket.
The cables must be protected against temperatures > 70°.
In case of outdoor installation, the detector has to be pro-
tected against sunlight by installing a guard plate.

General information on how to install a measuring frame
□ The measuring frame is constructed such that the shield-
ing with source is located below and the detector above
the conveyor belt.
□ The distance between the lower edge of the upper belt
and the upper edge of the source shielding should be
approx. 10 mm. This means that the shielding is to be
mounted between two rollers.
