The fuel tank capacity is shown on page 20.
Immediately wipe off any fuel spills from the bodywork and other parts of the vehicle.
Stop the engine before refuelling.
Petrol is highly flammable. Take care not to spill it from the tank while refuelling.
Keep open flames and lighted cigarettes away from the tank filler: danger of fire.
Avoid inhaling harmful vapours.
Fuel expands under the action of heat. It is therefore recommended not to fill the
tank to the brim.
FUEL TAP
OFF Fuel cock 3 is closed.
ON Before using the vehicle, turn the knob
to ON. This allows the fuel to flow to
the carburettor. When the fuel cock
is in the ON position the fuel tank
empties until only the reserve fuel is
left.
RES The reserve fuel is used only if the
knob is in the RES position. Do not
forget to bring the knob back to the
ON position after refuelling.
REFUELLING
FUEL TANK CAP
Open: Turn tank cap 1 anticlockwise.
Close: Replace the tank cap and turn it
clockwise.
Arrange tank breather pipe 2 so that it
forms no kinks.
