Spiral End of the Orthosis
The spiral end of the Orthosis is designed to support the hand while delivering stimulation to
the thenar muscle group.
The spiral end features: See Figure 4-4.
A removable thenarsupports the thenar eminence.
A wrist bridgeused to stabilize the hand in a functional position while in the Orthosis.
A trigger buttonused on the wrist bridge for turning on/pausing stimulation.
A removable wrist insertfound on the underside of the wrist bridge and used to cushion
the wrist. (Not shown in Figure 4-4.)
An attachment ringused for the Orthosis wrist strap.
An attachment barused for securing the Orthosis wrist strap.
