2.9 Personal protective equipment
Personal must be worn while working in order to minimise health hazards.
– Always wear the protective equipment required for the respective work
when working.
– Follow the instructions regarding personal protective equipment
provided in the working zone.
– Observe the safety requirements specified by the operator.
To be worn during all work
Wear the following protective equipment at all times when working on
and with the device:
Tight-fitting protective clothing with low tear strength.
Work gloves to protect against injuries.
Steel-cappedsafety footwear with a puncture and oil-
resistant safety sole.
Safety goggles to protect the eyes from flying parts and
liquids.
To be worn during special
work
Specific safety equipment is also required when carrying out special work.
They will be referred to separately in the individual chapters.
Also to be worn during special work:
Safety helmet to protect your head from falling objects.
Hearing protection in environments with noise emissions >
80 dB(A).
Chemical-resistant protective gloves for protection against
hazards from operating materials.
