5.5 Starting the engine
WARNING
Risk of fatal injury from starting in an enclosed space!
Risk of fatal injury from starting the engine in an enclosed space due to
inhalation of toxic fumes.
4 Only operate the engine outdoors.
NOTE
At ambient temperatures below +5°C, warm up the cold machine for
about 5 minutes at low speed to avoid possible damage to the
hydraulic system and the hydraulic oil foaming!
Requirement
Before starting the engine, make sure that
– the machine is ready for operation (see chapter Checks before
operation [}54])
– Remove blade guard if necessary.
Starting the engine
Start the engine as follows:
a) Insert the main switch.
b) Turn the main switch 90° clockwise until it engages.
c) Insert the key on the control panel.
d) Make sure that the dead man's lever is not actuated.

e) Adjust the throttle lever (1) approximately 1/3 down.
f) Briefly press the "Engine ON/OFF" button until the display lights up.
g) Press and hold the "Engine ON/OFF" button until the engine is running.
h) Adjust the throttle at the throttle lever (1).
