5 Operating the machine
5.1 Safety during operation
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Work safely when operating the attachments!
Carry out all work in compliance with the safety instructions listed
below:
4 Comply with the provisions listed in the chapter
Safety
[}21] for all
work on/with the attachment.
4 Also observe the information in the instructions of the attachment.
4 Do not work in a way that endangers safety.
4 Only carry out the work in accordance with the information in the
instructions of the attachment.
4 Only operate the attachment with installed and functional safety
equipment.
4 Comply with the relevant national occupational safety regulations and
local safety regulations.
4 Wear the prescribed personal protective equipment.
Personnel qualifications
The machine is only permitted to be operated by personnel who
are authorised to do so based on their training and qualifications.
5.2 Checks before operation
NOTICE
Danger of damage to equipment when operating the machine
with oil levels outside the permissible range!
Operating the machine with insufficient oil levels runs the risk of
damaging components.
4 Check the oil levels (hydraulic oil and engine oil) every time before
operation.
4 Ensure that the oil levels are sufficient.
Every time before operating the machine:
a) Check the oil levels. Check the hydraulic oil and engine oil and top up if
necessary (see chapter
Checking and topping up engine oil
[}43] and/or
chapter
Checking and topping up hydraulic oil
[}44]).
b) Check the machine for visible damage and defects. If necessary, rectify
the situation or have it rectified.
c) Check the machine for oil leaks.
d) Make sure that the screw connections are firmly seated.
e) Grease the lubrication points (see chapter
Greasing the lubrication
points
[}82]).
