4.4 Connecting/disconnecting the attachment
WARNING
Risk of burns on hot surfaces!
Components may become hot during operation. Contact with hot
surfaces can cause serious injury.
4 Wear the protective gloves.
4 Do not touch the hot exhaust pipe.
4 Do not touch the hot engine.
WARNING
Risk of injury if the attachment rolls away in an uncontrolled
manner!
If the attachment is not sufficiently secured against rolling away,
especially on slopes, there is a risk that it will start rolling away in an
uncontrolled manner. Operators or third parties may be trapped,
knocked over or run over, which can result in severe injuries.
4 Make sure that the attachment is sufficiently secured to prevent it
from rolling away in an uncontrolled manner.
WARNING
Risk of injury due to improper connecting and disconnecting of
the attachment!
Improper connecting and disconnecting of attachments can result in
severe injuries and damage to equipment.
4 Make sure that no one is in the danger zone when connecting and
disconnecting the attachment.
4 Make sure that the machine is switched off and secured against being
switched on again before connecting and disconnecting the
attachment.
4 Make sure that the attachment is securely connected to the machine
and that the quick-release lever is closed and secured against
unintentional opening with the cotter pin.
4 Regularly check that the machine and attachment are securely
connected, even while driving.
Personal protective
equipment
Wear the following protective equipment for when connecting and discon-
necting the attachment:
– Protective gloves
– Steel-capped safety shoes
Prerequisites
Before connecting and disconnecting the attachment, make sure that
– the machine is safely parked on flat terrain.
– the machine is switched off.
– the path to the attachment is clear.
– the attachment is secured to prevent it from rolling away.
