3 Transport and storage
3.1 Safety during transport
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Safe work during transport!
Observe the following safety instructions during transport:
4 Use suitable lifting gear and fastening materials.
4 Wear personal protective equipment.
4 All people must leave the transport area before the parts are lifted.
4 Do not stand or work beneath suspended loads!
4 Do not use any ropes or straps that are torn or chafed.
4 Do not lay ropes and straps on sharp edges and corners and do not
twist or knot them.
4 Do not use the transport lug to transport other parts.
4 Transportation should only be carried out by appropriately trained
persons.
NOTICE
Damage to equipment from improper transport.
Improper transport can lead to damage to equipment.
4 Do not subject the parts to be transported to any hard impacts during
transport.
4 Make sure that there is sufficient clear space during transport.
4 Proceed carefully when lifting and setting down objects.
Protective equipment
Always wear the following protective equipment during transport:
– Tight-fitting safety clothing
– Work gloves
– Steel-capped safety footwear
– Safety helmet
