10 – Drive gear 2000
10.1 General
The drive gear is integrated with the drive motor and brake to form a
complete drive unit which can be steered through 360°.
This chapter contains instructions for drive gear replacement. A com-
plete renovation of the drive gear is so extensive that it must be done in
the workshop by specially trained personnel.

10.1.1 Leakage from the bottom cap
1. Prepare the truck for servicing.
2. Drain the remaining oil from the gear.
3. Remove the cap (c) from the gear.
4. Replace the seal on the drain plug (d) and the O-ring (b) on the cap.
5. Place the cap and tighten the bolts to a torque of 46 Nm. Make sure
the O-ring does not become damaged. The bolts should be oiled
before being fitted.
6. Fill the gearbox up with new oil as far as the upper oil level plug (a).
7. Change the seal on the oil level plug (a) and fit it.
