Automatic volume control works
best when listening at low volume
levels. At loud listening levels there
will be little or no effect.
1. Adjust the volume to the
desired level by rotating the
VOL (volume/power) knob.
2. Press the CONFIG (configure)
button to display the radio
setup menu.
3. Press the push-button under
AUTO VOL (automatic vol-
ume) to display the four vol-
ume compensation levels.
4. Press the push-button under
the desired setting.
You may choose between LOW,
MED (medium), HIGH and OFF .
Each higher setting allows for
more volume compensation at
faster vehicle speeds. The OFF
position turns this feature off.
The display will time out after ten
seconds of inactivity.
With this feature activated, the
sound system will automatically
adjust the volume so that it always
sounds the same to you.
MANUAL TONE ADJUSTMENT
To adjust the tone, do the follow-
ing:

until BASS, MID (midrange),
and TREB (treble) appear on
the display.
2. Press the TUNE/TONE (tune/
tone) knob repeatedly to
highlight the desired control
or press the push-button
under the desired control.
3. After choosing the desired
control, rotate the TUNE/
TONE knob to the right or
left, press the SEEK right or
left arrow buttons, or press
