Before arming the theft deterrent
system and activating the
intrusion sensor, do the following:
• Make sure all doors, windows
and the sunroof (if equipped)
are completely closed.
•Turn off any fans or blowers.
Moving air may trigger the
alarm.
• Be sure to secure any loose
items such as a sunshade or
window blinds.
• Make sure there are no
obstructions blocking the
sensors.
• Do not hang anything from the
rearview mirror.
If any passengers must remain in
the vehicle, they should lock the
doors from inside using the power
door lock switch after the doors
have been closed.
The intrusion sensor will not be
activated.
Intrusion Sensor Override
The Driver Information Center
can also be used to arm the
theft deterrent system without
activating the intrusion sensor.
When you turn the engine off
PRESS TO TURN OFF MOTION
SENSOR will appear in the Driver
Information Center.
Press the button.
MOTION SENSOR OFF will
appear in the Driver Information
Center display.
The intrusion sensor will not be
activated.
