Avoid further tire and wheel
damage by driving very slowly to a
level place to change your tire.
Turn on your hazard warning
flashers.
CAUTION
Changing a tire can cause inju-
ry. The vehicle can slip off the
jack and injure you or other
people.
CAUTION
To help prevent the vehicle
from moving while changing
the flat tire:
• Park on a level surface.
• Set the parking brake.
• Place the automatic gear shift
in P (Park), or the manual
gear shift in 1 (First) or R
(Reverse).
•Turn off the engine.
• Before jacking, have all pas-
sengers get out of the vehicle.
• Put blocks at the front and
rear of the tire furthest away
from the one being changed.
Wheel Locks
When removing the wheels on
your vehicle, make sure to use the
wheel lock key.
