This setting enables five-
channel surround sound
when listening to a CD, MP3,
or portable audio device (if
connected).
3. Press the BACK button to exit
the display.
To return to the original display,
press the BACK button repeatedly
or just wait for the display to time
out.
ADJUSTING THE SPEAKERS
To adjust the speaker balance or
fade, do the following:
1. Press the TUNE/TONE knob
until BAL/FADE (balance/
fade) appears on the display.
2. Press the TUNE/TONE knob
repeatedly to highlight the
desired control or press the
push-button under the desired
control.
Choosing BAL allows you to
adjust the sound between the
right and left speakers.
Choosing FADE allows you to
adjust the sound between the
front and rear speakers.
3. After choosing the desired
control, rotate the TUNE/
TONE knob to the right or
left, press the SEEK right or
left arrow buttons, or press
the FWD or REV
buttons to increase or
decrease the level of the
selected control.
To quickly set a speaker control to
its middle position, press and hold
the push-button under the desired
control for more than two
seconds.
You will hear one beep.
To quickly set all speaker and tone
controls to their middle positions,
press and hold the TUNE/TONE
knob for two seconds.
You will hear one beep.
