3. Now open the hoods and
locate the positive (+) and
negative (-) battery terminals.
CAUTION
An electric cooling fan can start
even if the engine is not
running. Be careful around any
underhood electric fan.
CAUTION
Fans or other moving engine
parts can injure you badly. Keep
your hands away from moving
parts once the engine is
running.
Your vehicle has remote
positive (+) and negative (-)
battery terminals.
The remote negative (-)
terminal is located behind the
underhood fuse block.
The remote positive (+)
terminal is located on the side
of the underhood fuse block.
Always use the remote
positive and remote negative
terminals instead of the
terminals on your vehicle's
battery.
CAUTION
Check that the jumper cables
don’t have any loose or missing
insulation. If they do, you could
get a shock and the vehicles
could be damaged.
