Tochecktheelectrolyticsolutionlevelofamainte-
nancetypebattery,proceedasfollows:
•
Removethecellcapsandcheckthelevelin
eachbatteriescell.Thelevelshouldbebe-
tween10mm(0.4in)and15mm(0.6in)
abovetheplates.Adddistilledwaterifneces-
sary,theninstallthecellcaps.
NOTICE:whenaddingdistilledwaterattemperaturesbe-
low0°C(32.0°F),thebatteriesmustbechargedortheen-
ginerunfortwohoursapproximatelyinordertoensurethat
thedistilledwaterandtheelectrolyteareproperlymixed.
NOTICE:makesurethebatteryterminalsarecleanand
coatedwithgreaseandthatthecablesareproperlytight-
ened.
