Batteryacidcausesburns.Batteriescontainsulfuricacid.
Avoidcontactwithskin,eyesorclothing.Antidote(external):Flushwithwater.Antidote(eyes):ush
withwaterfor15minutesandseekmedicalattentionimmediately.Antidote(internal):Drinklarge
quantitiesofwaterormilk.Donotinducevomiting.Seekmedicalattentionimmediately.
Failuretocomplywillresultindeathorseriousinjury.

Whenevercarryingoutaweldingoperationonthe
undercarriageorupperstructurecarriageasautho-
rizedbythemanufacturerandinaccordancewith
hisinstructions,disconnectthebatteries,disconnect
thealternatorB+andD+terminalwiresandcon-
necttheweldingapparatusearthcabletothecom-
ponentonwhichtheweldingoperationistobeper-
formed.Neverconnecttheweldingapparatustothe
undercarriagewhenweldingontheupperstructure
(orvice-versa).Neverconnecttheweldingappara-
tusearthtoacomponentofthehydraulicsystem.To
avoiddamagetotheelectronic/electricalsystems,al-
waysobservethefollowing:
1.Nevermakeorbreakanyofthechargingcircuit
connections,includingthebatteryconnections,
whentheengineisrunning.
2.Nevershortanyofthechargingcomponentsto
ground.
3.Alwaysplacethekeyofthebatterymaster
switchinO(Off)positionanddisconnectthe
groundcablefromthebatterybeforearcweld-
ingonthemachine.
NOTE:positiontheweldergroundclampasclosetothe
weldingareaaspossible.Ifweldingincloseproximityto
acomputermodule,thenthemoduleshouldberemoved
fromthemachine.Neverallowweldingcablestolayon,
nearoracrossanyelectricalwiringorelectroniccomponent
whileweldingisinprogress.
4.Alwaysdisconnectthenegativecablefromthe
batterywhenchargingthebatteryinthema-
chinewithabatterycharger.
5.Removethebatterygroundcable.Reconnect
thecablewhenweldingiscompleted.
NOTICE:ifweldingmustbeperformedontheunit,either
themachine,thebatterygroundcablemustbediscon-
nectedfromthemachinebattery.Theelectronicmonitoring
systemandchargingsystemwillbedamagedifthisisnot
done.
