Toreplacethefuellterproceedasfollows:
1.Placeareceptacleofasuitablecapacityunder
thefuelmainlter.
2.Closethefuelpre-ltervalve(A).
3.Switchthefuelmainltervalve(B)tothetank
side.
4.Loosenthedrainplug(1)andthebleedscrew
(2)thendrainthefuelandsedimentsfromthe
fuelmainlter.

5.Cleanaroundthefuelmainltercase.Donot
usecleaningspray.Itcoulddamagethecase.
6.Usethelterwrenchthatcamewiththema-
chinetoremovethefuelmainltercase,then
cleaninsidethecasewithdieselfuel.Replace
theusedlterelementwithanewlterelement
beingcarefultonotletanydirtordustgeton
thenewelement.

7.Replacetheltercaseseal,installthecase,
thenturnituntilitcontactsthemainlterhead.
NOTICE:donotlltheltercasewithfuelbeforeinstalling.
8.Usethelterwrenchthatcamewiththema-
chinetotightenthecase.
Filtercasetighteningtorque:
28-32N·m(20.7-23.6lbft).
