CHECKING AND SETTING THE VALVE TIMING
Engine: RFN
Checks.
Make two rotations
of the crankshaft (direction of rotation of the engine).
IMPERATIVE: Never turn the crankshaft backwards.
Make sure that the timing is correctly set, by refitting the camshaft and crankshaft setting pegs.
Remove the setting pegs.
Make ten rotations of the crankshaft (direction of rotation of the engine).
Check the position of the index (15).
If the index (15) is not in its adjustment position «e», recommence the operations to tension the timing
belt.
