Storing the motorcycle
If the motorcycle is to be left unridden over long
periods, it is advisable to carry out the following
operations before storing it away:
- clean the motorcycle;
- empty the fuel tank;
- place the motorcycle on a service stand;
- disconnect, remove the battery and periodically
charge it using the battery charge maintainer (see
page 285);
- protect the motorcycle with a suitable canvas.
This will protect paintwork and let condensate
breathe out. The canvas is available from Ducati
Performance.
