TRSM0940 Service Procedures | Main Shaft Speed Sensor Removal and Installation
Main Shaft Speed Sensor Installation
Important: Clean the mounting surface on the housing and
remove any burrs or sharp edges.
Important: Lubricate the O-ring with Eaton Fuller silicone
71214 or equivalent.
1. Use a smo
oth twisting motion; fully insert the Main
Shaft Speed Sensor in the rear Transmission Shift Bar
Housing bore
2. Using a
3/8” socket, install the retaining bolt and
tighten 7–9 lb-ft (9–12 N•m.)
3. Reconnec
t the Main Shaft Speed Sensor pigtail to the
Transmission Harness.
