Cable Connections from Fibre Channel Switch to Storage

If you are using a single switch to connect a CLARiiON CX3-10 array, connect the
cables as shown in Figure 164:

1. Connect SP A port 2 Fibre to the switch.
2. Connect SP B port 2 Fibre to the switch.
3. Connect SP A port 3 Fibre to the switch.
4. Connect SP B port 3 Fibre to the switch.
5. Record which SP ports you connected to which switch ports using the “FC/FCoE
cabling worksheet” on page 273.
Note: If you did not use the default SP and FC switch cabling, you must manually select the FC
switch ports the array will use in “Step 2: Install latest File OE on CS 0” on page 139.
