6 Commissioning
6.1 Function check
Make sure that all the final checks have been completed before commissioning the measuring point:
• Checklist for "Post-installation check" → ä 18.
• Checklist for "Post-connection check" → ä 25.
6.2 Switching on the measuring device
If the post-connection checks have been performed, the supply voltage can be switched on. The
device is now operational.
The measuring device performs a number of power on self-tests. As this procedure progresses the
following sequence of messages appears on the local display:
Normal measuring mode commences as soon as startup completes.
Various measured value and/or status variables appear on the display (HOME position).

If startup fails, an error message indicating the cause is displayed.
