Display and operating elements Page 40 ff.
Basic configuration (device parameters, automation functions) Page 48 ff.
Configuration programs of various manufacturers are used to configure device-specific
parameters and specify automation functions for the PROFIBUS interface.
If the measuring device is equipped with a local display, device-specific parameters and
functions can also be configured quickly and easily by means of the “Commissioning” Quick
Setup menu, e.g. display language, measured variables, engineering units, type of signal,
settings for operation with gas, etc. See following page.
Commissioning with “QUICK SETUP Page 58 ff.
You can commission your measuring device quickly and easily, using the special “Quick
Setup” menu. It enables you to configure important basic functions using the local display, for
example display language, measured variables, units of measures, type of signal, etc.
The following adjustments can be made separately as necessary:
–Device functions
Zero point adjustment
Density adjustment
–Gas measurement
Application-specific commissioning Page 59 ff.
You have the option of launching other, application-specific Quick Setups, for instance the
menu for measuring pulsating flow, etc.
System integration Page 86 ff.
Cyclic data exchange, configuration examples
Customer-specific configuration Page 90 ff.
Complex measuring operations necessitate additional functions that you can configure as
necessary with the aid of device parameters, and customise to suit your process parameters.
This can be effected in two ways:
Configuring by means of the configuration program (e.g. Fieldcare)
Configuring by means of the local display (optional) Page 40
All functions and device parameters are described in detail in the “Description of Device
Functions” manual which is a separate part of these Operating Instructions!
