FIP-P11 PRINTED PAGES HAVE A DARK OR DIRTY BACKGROUND
Before starting troubleshooting, inspect the paper feed path of the printer paper. Check
the paper feed path for metal staples, paper clips, paper scraps, and other foreign matter.

appears as extremely light gray dirt.

Go to Step [2]. Replace the

Check the belt surface of the TRANSFER
UNIT
Is the belt surface recessed or deformed?
Replace the
TRANSFER
UNIT. (p.268)
Go to Step [3].

Check the paper feed path
Is there any dirt on the path?
Clean the paper
feed path.
Go to Step [4].

Check the connection of the ROS ASSY
Is the harness of the ROS ASSY securely
connected?
Go to Step [5]. Reconnect the
harness correctly.

Check after replacing the ROS ASSY
Replace the ROS ASSY (p.280) and make a test
print. Does the printing density get back to
normal?
End of procedure Replace the
PWBA MCU.
