Before starting troubleshooting, inspect the paper feed path of the printer paper. Check
the paper feed path for metal staples, paper clips, paper scraps, and other foreign
matter.

Check the paper
Is it a new standard paper free from moisture?
Go to Step [2]. Replace it with a
new standard
paper free from
moisture.

Installation state of the paper cassette and
papers
Reload the papers against the paper guide, and
run test print. Are images printed normally?

Check the paper feed path
Is there any dirt or foreign material on the path?
Clean the paper
feed path or
remove the
foreign material.
Go to Step [4].

Check the Paper Feed Rollers
1. Are the rollers on the paper feed path not
soiled, damaged or worn?
2. Are those rollers installed correctly?
Go to Step [5]. Clean the rollers
and reinstall them
correctly, or
replace them with
new ones.

Check the belt surface of the TRANSFER
UNIT
Is the belt surface recessed or deformed?
Replace the
TRANSFER
UNIT. (p.268)
Go to Step [6].

Check the installation of the TRANSFER
UNIT
Reinstall the TRANSFER UNIT and make a
test print. Are images printed normally?

Check the installation of the FUSER UNIT
Reinstall the FUSER UNIT and make a test
print. Are images printed normally?
