2.5.3.2 MSI Paper Detection
When papers are loaded in MSI, ACTUATOR NO PAPER shields the light to MSI No
Paper Sensor, and detects paper presence.

2.5.3.3 Multi-Feed Prevention
Some papers are stick together in MSI and these papers tend to cause multi-feeding or
paper jams. When a sheet of paper is transferred, ROLL ASSY FEED MSI and ROLL
ASSY RETARD rotate to continue transferring papers. If two or more papers are
transferred, ROLL ASSY RETARD separates the lower paper by friction, ROLL ASSY
RETARD stops rotating, and ROLL ASSY FEED MSI rotates to transfer the upper paper.
ROLL ASSY RETARD is pressed against ROLL ASSY FEED MSI by spring pressure,
and is controlled by the torque limiter that is connected to the ROLL ASSY RETARD.
