2.5.3.4 Paper Edge Alignment
If papers, which are transferred from MSI or paper tray to the toner transfer section, are
skewed, toner image on the drum cannot be transferred to the appropriate position on
paper. To prevent the skew, Regi section aligns paper edge before transferring the
paper to the toner transfer section.
Paper fed from MSI or paper tray is pressed against ROLL REGI (not rotating) and
leading edge of the paper is aligned.

2.5.3.5 Regi Sensor Paper Detection
As the paper path from MSI or Duplex to Regi Sensor and the one from paper tray to
Regi Sensor are different, Regi Sensor has both Actuator A and Actuator B.
Actuator A detects paper fed from MSI or Duplex.
Actuator B detects paper fed from paper tray.
Actuator B does not move in synchronization with Actuator A.
