Ink cartridge holder Install the ink cartridges. Ink is ejected from the print head nozzles
underneath.

Scanner unit Scans placed originals. Open to replace the ink cartridges or to remove
jammed paper. This unit should usually be kept closed.

Control panel Indicates the printer's status and allows you to make print settings.

CD/DVD tray slot Insert the CD/DVD tray with a CD/DVD placed on it for label printing into this
slot.

Maintenance box cover Remove when replacing the maintenance box. The maintenance box is a
container that collects a very small amount of surplus ink during cleaning or
printing.

Front cover Open to load paper in the paper cassette.

Output tray Holds the ejected paper. When you start printing, this tray is ejected
automatically. If you tap Ye s on the screen displayed when the printer is
turned o, it is stored automatically. To store the tray manually,tap
on the home screen.

Paper cassette 1 Loads paper.

Paper cassette 2

Edge guide Feeds the paper straight into the printer. Slide to the edges of the paper.
