Test procedure
Determining the start delay 1. Call up the "Menu" screen.
2. Call up <Further settings>.
3. In the "Further settings" screen, scroll to the <Protected settings>
option.
4. Call up <Protected settings>.
5. Enter the password Level2 and confirm with <Entry>. The unit shows
all password-protected settings.
6. The following settings are relevant:
– Use of AUTO START: Must be permitted for the test.
– Delay for bipolar AUTO START (for testing a BI and MF-U socket):
Note the value.
– Delay for thermoSEAL AUTO START (for testing an MF socket): Note
the value.
7. Exit <Further settings>.
AUTO START, bipolar
(for a BI and MF-U socket)
1. Plug a suitable cable into the first test socket.
2. Set the test specimen to:
Forceps, bipolar – softCOAG, bipolar – Effect 1 –AUTO START
3. Hold down the S1 button on the VIO test box until the test specimen
is activated. Activation must begin after the test delay that has been
set.
4. Press the S2 button. The test specimen must terminate the activation.
5. Unplug cable.
6. Repeat test steps 1 to 5 with each BI and MF-U socket.
IMPORTANT! The test only works when AUTO START is permitted. In addition, the test
box response varies depending on the time period set for the start
delay.
