4.4.7 Conveyor Belt Checking and Cleaning
Usually machines in line have a conveyor to transport the PCB. Standalone machines do not have it,
in these cases skip these steps.
Check the Conveyor
• Check for any damages on the conveyor.
• Check the conveyor belts (1), they must be
clean and not damaged.
• Check the pulleys (2), they have to rotate
easily.
Replace any defective part.
Clean the Conveyor
Remove all loose components and dust on and around the conveyor with a vacuum cleaner.
Use a soft, lint-free cloth with Ethanol or Isopropyl alcohol or slightly moistened with water to clean
the conveyor belts.
Note:
Never use aggressive mediums like Acetone because it tends to weaken the Polymer.
