4.7.3 Linear Slider / Rails Cleaning and Lubricating
Clean Linear Guides (Rails)
With a clean, lint-free cloth, wipe the linear rails
(X, Y and Y1) to remove old grease and dirt (do
not use any solvent). Move the sliders back and
forth and repeat the step.
Clean and lubricate Linear Guiding for Conveyor Backrail
With a clean, lint-free cloth, wipe the linear
guiding for the conveyor backrail to remove old
grease and dirt (do not use any solvent). Move
the backrail back and forth and repeat the step.
Lubricate Linear Guides (Rails)
To protect the surface against corrosion, after
complete drying apply a very thin layer of the
recommended lubricating grease (BEM 34-32
(SP26/HG08)) on all linear guides. For the
recommended grease see 'Tools, Material and
Scheduling'.
