4.6.8 Conveyor Clamping Checking / Lubricating
Introduction
The conveyor clamping at process stage (middle) has been checked on a monthly base. The
clamping mechanism has to run smooth, if this is not the case it has to be cleaned and lubricated.
Check smooth running of Conveyor Clamping
Switch off the compressed air (EXH, exhaust) at
the Compressed Air Maintenance Unit (see
picture).
Manually move back and forth the driving rod of
the conveyor clamping mechanism (see picture).
Feel whether it runs smooth or not. Do the check
on both, the front and the back rail.
If it runs smooth, wipe away any excessive
grease. Switch on the compressed air (SUP) and
close this maintenance procedure 'Conveyor
Clamping Checking / Lubricating'.
If it does not run smooth, go to the next step
'Lubricate the Conveyor Clamping'.
