Carefully place the head cover on the correct
position.
Screw in the two fixing screws and tighten them.
4.7.6 Dispense Axes Linear Guide Cleaning / Lubricating
Dispense Head clean and lubricate the Linear Guide
Using a soft and lint-free cloth, wipe off the dirty
grease over the whole length of the linear guide
(press firmly on the specified position at the
brake to move the axis up and down).
The Z slider has a hole left and right of the guide
for applying grease. Using the grease gun,
loaded with the recommended grease BEM 34-
32 (see 'Tools, Material and Scheduling') and
equipped with the correct coupler, attach the
coupler of the grease gun into the hole on the
slider and apply 0.4 cm³ (ml) per side. Do not
over grease.
The slider should be moved up and down to distribute the lubricant. Because of limited space it is
not possible during applying the grease, therefore do not apply the whole amount of 0.4 cm³ (ml)
at once but do it in smaller doses with moving the slider in between. Wipe off possibly excessive
lubricant with a soft cloth.
